Your blog posts title and blog title both improves your blog ranking and also helps you in getting more organic traffic. Blog posts title is the very first thing which is checked by a reader before visiting any link. If your post title is effective and catchy enough then for sure you will be getting high traffic on your blog. By writing keywords rich titles you can easily gain more organic traffic without even putting many efforts.
You should know that Google only allows 66 characters of your post title in search engine results. If you are a Google Blogger user then you might have noticed that by default your blog title is shown first before your actual post title. But this thing puts a bad effect on both your blog ranking and daily traffic. Your actual keyword rich post title got chopped because of the Google search engine character limit.

Whenever a user is searching for a query, he wants to get the best matching results. Around 75% users simply skip your result if he/she finds your blog name first instead of the actual post title. So, It’s very important to optimize your blog search engine results properly.

If you want to show your post title first before your blog name then start following the below steps carefully.

So, Let’s get started.

1. Open your Google Blogger Dashboard

2. Click on Template > Edit template from the sidebar section.

3. Not Press Ctrl + F to search for the following code in your blog’s template:-

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

4. After finding the above code, simply replace it with the following code:-

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'><title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title><b:else/><title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title></b:if>

5. Click on Save Template and you are done!
